CDex is a free open source CD ripper for Microsoft Windows, developed and maintained by Georgy Berdyshev. It was originally written by Albert L. Faber.

Notable features if CDex includes conversion CD audio into several formats including WAV, Vorbis, MP3 (using the LAME encoder), VQF, Musepack, APE, and many others. CDex uses external encoder too. CDex also includes cdparanoia for robust CD reading.
