Songbird is a free and open source software audio player cum web browser, which is still being actively developed. Songbird stated mission "to incubate Songbird, the first Web player, to catalyze and champion a diverse, open Media Web."

Songbird works using, Mozilla's XULRunner and GStreamer media framework.
